MetroPCS is very popular with the youth market, mostly due to the ease with which service can be obtained and lack of a required credit card or check. Because of this, most MetroPCS subscribers begin their service with authorized dealers, rather than actual corporate stores, which are scarce in most markets. MetroPCS also does not generally offer live customer service support to its customers, instead presenting an extensive self-help menu IVR.
